<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Where is Denver Airport located?</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Denver International Airport is located at 8500 Peña Blvd, Denver, CO 80249, United States, approximately 25 miles northeast of downtown Denver. Travelers can reach Denver airport from downtown Denver using various modes of transportation. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The most straightforward route is by car via I-70 and Peña Blvd, which typically takes around 35 minutes in regular traffic conditions. Alternatively, the Regional Transportation District (RTD) offers the A Line train service from Union Station to Denver Airport, providing a traffic-free option that takes approximately 37 minutes. There are also numerous shuttle services and taxis available.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Which airlines fly from Denver airport?</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Denver International Airport is home to many international and domestic carriers. The airport has three major concourses &#8211; A, B &amp; C and over 30 airlines. The airport is a hub for United Airlines and Frontier Airlines. These are some other major airlines that fly from Denver Airport:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Southwest Airlines</li>

<li>American Airlines</li>

<li>Delta Air Lines</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">International flights connect Denver to Europe, Asia, Central, and South America. For layover, if your 2nd flight leaves from the same concourse then a layover of 45 mins is enough. If you have to change concourses, keep minimum 1 hour 30 mins between the flights as the airport train can be quite crowded in rush times. Many people fly into Denver airport to plan a road trip in the Centennial State.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">See the Denver &amp; Rio Grand Western Locomotive engine</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Just near the parking lot, in front of the Visitor Center, you will find the Denver &amp; Rio Grande Western (D&amp;RGW) Class K-37 locomotive 499. There are only 8 surviving locomotives of this class today. This coal-fired narrow gauge engine, built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1902, is a reminder of Colorado&#8217;s railroad era. This engine was used to haul supplies into the canyon prior to 1970 and is still in excellent condition. It is currently on display at the Royal Gorge Park and is a great photo-op for visitors.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="940" height="788" src="https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Denver-Rio-Grande-Western-engine-outside-the-Visitor-Center-of-Royal-Gorge-Bridge.png" alt="Denver &amp; Rio Grande Western engine outside the Visitor Center of Royal Gorge Bridge" class="wp-image-4863" srcset="https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Denver-Rio-Grande-Western-engine-outside-the-Visitor-Center-of-Royal-Gorge-Bridge.png 940w, https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Denver-Rio-Grande-Western-engine-outside-the-Visitor-Center-of-Royal-Gorge-Bridge-300x251.png 300w, https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Denver-Rio-Grande-Western-engine-outside-the-Visitor-Center-of-Royal-Gorge-Bridge-768x644.png 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 940px) 100vw, 940px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Denver &amp; Rio Grande Western engine outside the Visitor Center of Royal Gorge Bridge</figcaption></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Marvel at the Water Clock</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most unique features of Royal Gorge Bridge and Park is the impressive Water Clock. It is located behind the Visitor Center. The Water Clock is the only one of its kind in Colorado and one of the three existing in the world.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The unconventional device operates using a fascinating system of water flow and pressure to operate both a clock and a calendar. It is fascinating to see the water wheel rotate and mark time as the water cascades from from bucket to bucket.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="819" height="1024" src="https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Water-Clock-at-the-Royal-Gorge-is-really-cool-to-figure-out-819x1024.png" alt="Water Clock at the Royal Gorge is really cool to figure out" class="wp-image-4872" srcset="https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Water-Clock-at-the-Royal-Gorge-is-really-cool-to-figure-out-819x1024.png 819w, https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Water-Clock-at-the-Royal-Gorge-is-really-cool-to-figure-out-240x300.png 240w, https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Water-Clock-at-the-Royal-Gorge-is-really-cool-to-figure-out-768x960.png 768w, https://unseencolorado.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Water-Clock-at-the-Royal-Gorge-is-really-cool-to-figure-out.png 1080w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Water Clock at the Royal Gorge is really cool to figure out</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Visitors are intrigued by the clock&#8217;s complex mechanism, making it a must-see attraction. The 2013 wildfire damaged the original clock and the current one is an exact replica. The Water Clock symbolizes the harmonious blend of nature and technology, mirroring the essence of Royal Gorge Bridge and Park itself.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Walk across the Royal Gorge Bridge</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Walking across the Royal Gorge Bridge is an exhilarating experiences. The bridge spans an impressive 1,260 feet and presents an exciting challenge. While crossing it, you will be standing over 956 feet high above the Arkansas River.
