This is my favorite coffee shop in Historic Georgetown, CO to get coffee.
Georgetown Coffee and Tea is very cute, has a large comfortable atrium from where you can see views of the Rockies, as well as a small library up the stairs!
Their menu features several drinks including cortado, latte, cafe au lait, and dirty chai.
You can get the drinks hot or iced or even blended frozen for the summer.
They use local Copper Door Coffee for all their drinks.
They also serve a good variety of hot teas and lemonades as well as Tommyknocker sodas from Idaho Springs.
Their food menu includes pastries, muffins, blondie bars, as well as ramen.
It also has an art gallery / gift store where you can buy souvenirs and other trinkets and browse through the art work by local artists.
During the Georgetown Christmas season, it is decorated with pretty bows and wreaths and is an excellent place to stop.
They have two locations in town – so one is sure to be convenient to you.
Mountain Mamas’ Needful Things
Mountain Mamas is another spot to head to for really great coffee as well as delicious breakfast.
Their name comes from the assorted variety of things they sell in their small gift shop which you absolutely ‘need’ to get!
I had heard that they have the best breakfast in town and the food certainly did not disappoint!
We ordered breakfast sandwiches and burritos as well as some brownies to take with us.
They also serve bagels and other baked goods, plus have several coffees on the menu.
We sat inside since it was cold but the creek side outdoor seating looked perfect to have a good time in the summer months.
Be sure to buy some of their salt water taffy or one of the homemade jams before you go!
Colorado T-Shirt and Espresso Store
Looking to get coffee tea or gifts?
Colorado T-Shirt and Espresso Store is a great pit-stop for a quick caffeine boost before heading into the mountains.
They have good coffee, lattes, and cappuccinos.
The store also had a small selection of food when we stopped by but it was all frozen and I would recommend you stop at the other places in town for food.
They have a really good variety of t-shirts and souvenir sweatshirts to browse through while you’re getting coffee.
Plume Coffee Bar
Plume Coffee Bar is located in nearby Silver Plume, Colorado.
This is a hidden gem on Main Street and has cozy atmosphere plus excellent coffee.
Their menu features a large variety of specialty coffees along with regular favorites.
Some of my favorites include lavender latte and the s’mores latte which actually has toasted marshmallows on top.
The store has a kids corner with games plus kids items on the menu to keep them occupied.
Adults can enjoy the many history books spread around the store.
It is the perfect place to stop on the I-70 corridor while heading up into the mountains of the Continental Divide.
A Whistle Stop Cafe
Looking for the best spot for to fill up before hitting the ski resorts?
A Whistle Stop Cafe has the best breakfast burritos in town as well as fresh coffee.
This charming family-owned cafe is known for its breakfast and brunch menu more than its coffee.
The menu features southern favorites such as omelets smothered in chili as well as burgers and pancakes.
A Whistle Stop Cafe is located at 1400 Argentine St, Georgetown, CO 80444 in a light blue building and is hard to miss!
Update: A Whistle Stop Cafe has unfortunately closed down since the pandemic and will be missed as it served best coffee Georgetown.
Lil’ Annie’s Cafe
Lil’ Annie’s Coffee Shop is the local favorite when it comes to coffee and great food in Georgetown, Colorado.
It is located right next to Guanella Pass Brewing Company.
Stop by for lunch after enjoying a hike in Guanella Pass and order one of their delicious sandwiches.
The bread is made fresh every day and the sandwich tastes delicious.
Some of their popular ones include the roasted chicken sandwich, smoked turkey sandwich, and combination sandwich.
Along with coffee, this mom and pop shop also serve boba teas and slushes.
